About this file
This Scope of Work details the HVAC replacement project for the White Mountain Apache Detention Center in Whiteriver, AZ. The project involves removing six lightning-damaged rooftop HVAC units and installing six new commercial gas/electric packaged rooftop units with a total system capacity of 51.5 tons. The six replacement units will consist of three 7.5-ton units (90,000 BTU cooling capacity) and three 10-ton units (120,000 BTU cooling capacity), meeting specific requirements including minimum 14 SEER cooling efficiency, 80% AFUE heating efficiency, and R-32 refrigerant compatibility.
The project has a 90-day completion timeline and requires extensive coordination with the White Mountain Apache Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO), detention facility management, and tribal authorities. Key requirements include enhanced security protocols, minimal facility disruption, comprehensive documentation, and compliance with National Electrical Code, International Mechanical Code, and federal detention facility standards. The scope encompasses detailed phases from pre-construction activities through installation, commissioning, testing, and final documentation, with specific considerations for high-altitude performance, tribal compliance, and environmental sensitivity.
