J. Within 30 days of the issuance of the ARPA permit, not to exceed 45 days after the award of the contract, the contractor will be responsible for the delivery of the following.

May BIA please clarify that the fieldwork and report must be complete within 45 days of contract award?

Answer: The Bureau of Indian Affairs has updated the Scope of Work and is providing the revised version with new dates. Please review the adjusted timelines- Section J has been revised to state:

“Within 90 days of the completion of the field work, the contractor will be responsible for the delivery of the following:”

This language change should allow the contractor ample time to do both field work and reports and gives clear guidance on timelines.

V. Contract Timeline 2. All fieldwork completed and draft reports must be submitted within 30 calendar days of ARPA permit issuance unless otherwise arranged with the Southern Plains Regional Archeologist.

May BIA please clarify whether alternate arrangements would be made pre or post contract award?

Answer: The Bureau of Indian Affairs has updated the Scope of Work and is providing the revised version with new dates. Please review the adjusted timelines.

Section V(2) has been revised to state:

“All fieldwork completed (Approximately 45 days) and draft reports (90 days after field work completion) must be submitted within 135 calendar days of ARPA permit issuance unless otherwise arranged with the Southern Plains Regional Archeologist.

This language change should allow the contractor ample time to do both field work and reports and gives clear guidance on timelines. Adjustments to the timelines may be negotiated with the regional archeologist and the Contracting Officer after the contract is awarded, provided if supported by a sound rationale.
