Questions and Answers
1. The statement of need states you need self-priming pumps, but further down in the statement of need under specifications, it also states “NOT Self Priming”. Please clarify whether you need self-priming or not self-priming.
The pumps shall be self-priming.
2. Is there a written installation scope available that includes pictures, site details, or other specifics outlining what you expect from the install?
• Please see additional detailed clarification in the included attachments to amendment 0002.
3. Is there specific details such as installation location (indoors/outdoors), space constraints, demolition requirements, etc.
• The two pumps are located outdoors, and there is enough room, as can be seen in the pictures. The two pumps to be swapped out are Main Seawater Pumps #1 and #2.
4. Are you expecting us to provide both electrical installation and connections, or just mechanical services?
• Yes, both electrical and mechanical.
5. Will there be an on-site walkthrough for all bidders to better understand the installation conditions and scope? If so, do you know when that is planned?
• Yes, if anyone wants to come by and look at the overall job and requirements, they can coordinate with me or Ronald Skelly.
