About this file
This is a Requests For Information (RFIs) document for RFQ/RFP Number 1305M326Q0374 regarding the NEFSC Woods Hole Facility's Cottage Building Exterior Trim and Siding Repair and Paint project.
The document contains eight RFIs received on 08/06/26 with responses issued on 8/11/2026 addressing contractor questions regarding scope clarification and site logistics. Key determinations include: gutter replacement is not in scope unless the contractor elects removal, in which case reinstallation is required; wall sheathing and fastener replacement are not anticipated or in scope; the screen door is not to be replaced and may be removed and disposed of; the entrance wooden gutter is to be removed and replaced with metal to match existing gutters. Regarding site operations, the dumpster must be staged in the unsecured parking lot in front of the cottage with no size limitations and must be removed when contractors leave or at end of period of performance; reasonable water and power will be provided by the Government at no cost to the contractor. The Government anticipates project completion by end of October to avoid winter conditions but will consider quotes deferring performance until spring 2027 and will select the best value option. Amendment 0002 will extend the quotation due dates.
