About this file

This document is Amendment Number 0006 to Solicitation 1305M326Q0262, issued by the National Weather Service (WAD-SAP) located in Boulder, Colorado, effective June 22, 2026.

The solicitation concerns preventive maintenance services for two emergency backup generators: a natural gas-fueled Cummins generator located at South Burlington, Vermont (Airport Location) and a diesel-fueled Kohler generator located at Colchester, Vermont (Camp Johnson Location, a military installation). The contractor must provide quarterly preventive maintenance visits and annual State of Vermont safety inspections compliant with NFPA 110 and NFPA 70 standards. Maintenance activities include fluid checks, filter replacements (per manufacturer specifications), visual inspections, and 30-minute generator load tests through the automatic transfer switch (ATS). The contractor's technicians must be licensed/certified for the specific equipment type and fuel type and possess appropriate electrician's licenses. Annual inspections may be conducted during any quarterly maintenance visit if timelines and state requirements are met. The South Burlington location permits direct vehicle access with locked generator access doors; the Camp Johnson location requires National Weather Service personnel escort due to military installation security protocols and is housed in an alarmed, locked building. Quotes must be received by 10:00 AM MDT on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. Previous amendment versions (0001 through 0005) extended quote due dates while the Statement of Work underwent revisions for clarification; contractors must reference the current ATTACHMENT 1 STATEMENT OF WORK_REVISED_081326 and disregard prior versions, as non-responsive quotes may be excluded from evaluation without notification.

Vermont Safety Inspection for both the Cummins generator and Kohler generator per NFPA rules.

The Contractor shall obtain the State of

Vermont’s generator inspection information and requirements at the Official Vermont Government website.

2) Is there a specific State of Vermont form, checklist, inspection certificate, testing record, or agency-required document that must be completed and submitted for each generator?
