Questions Received Answers Justin wanted to clarify one thing as I am running my numbers. Item 22501, Mechanically Stabilized Earth Wall, shows up twice in the schedule. My assumption is that you are saying that the Government will provide the earth wall and I will add the pay item to install. You know what they say about assuming, so I just wanted to make sure. The only thing we are bidding there is the installation of one MSE, that the Government provides. We don’t need to source a second one from Eureka, correct?
Correct, the Government will furnish Hilfiker Wall material. I’ve included the Statement of work below to ensure we are on the same page. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

The Contractor shall furnish all materials not provided by the government to complete the project. (See Section G) Work includes: Remove and dispose of the existing AC surface, remove and stockpile the aggregate base, excavate the existing MSE structure, dispose of all steel and fabric encasement materials, prepare the structure base, construct the new Government Furnished MSE structure with the retained rock facia including an upper and lower drain system, Backfill as needed to the sub-base level, replace the augmented road base, place a 3” course of hot asphalt, and install object markers.
