ANSWER: Yes. This project is for installation ONLY.

QUESTION 2

What is Appendix A: Government’s materials on hand for installation.

ANSWER – Please see attached spec sheets for provided solar light fixtures and poles.

QUESTION 3

ANSWER – The lights have internal, replaceable battery packs.

QUESTION 4 – Where will the control panel be located?

ANSWER – The only control panel is the handheld remote control for the lights. The specs for the remote are included with the material for the light fixtures.

QUESTION 5 – Are there 22 or 24 lights for the 20 poles?

ANSWER-There are 20 poles to be installed. Two of the poles will have two lights on them.

QUESTION 6 - Stated in bid schedule section 4.2 line item 6 it states Excavate and provide buried electrical service (i.e., wiring and controls) to each pole. Is the existing conduit to be extended and new conductors pulled from the existing electrical panel or is the existing conduit to be capped and conductors removed?

ANSWER - These are solar lights and do not require any wiring, (Only new footings). They are going to be installed in the proximity of the existing hard wired post. The challenge for the contractors is that the new footings will interfere with the path of the underground electrical and water piping.
