About this file
This document provides an amendment to a solicitation for the Elkhorn 3 Stewardship contract. The amendment answers two questions from potential offerors. It clarifies that there is no escalation provision in the Integrated Resource Stewardship Contract and that the locations of skid trails will be agreed upon between the contractor and the Forest Service prior to skidding, including length, width, and distance between trails. The solicitation is issued by the USDA Forest Service Rocky Mountain Region and is identified as solicitation number 1282AT20R4001. The contract objectives include improving forest health through stand cleaning and thinning, reducing hazardous fuels through mechanical treatment, and utilization of timber or other products. The response deadline is February 19, 2020 and award is anticipated for January 23, 2020.
