Ques on and Answers:
Can you please advise if there is a specific color background that is required or desired?
No specific colors in mind, that can be discussed in the initial visit. The photos we currently use have a dark gray, mottled background, so I believe neutral would certainly be an option. We also hope to use areas of the building as a background, there are some impressive features that would be perfect. Again, this would be a discussion we would have in our initial visit with the contractor.
Can you please advise how much space will be available for setup?
Again, that will be determined on the first site visit. We have a private room where we can shoot photos that is roughly 15x45 but we also plan to use different areas of the building for photo locations (lobby, visitors center, boardrooms, water feature, etc.).
1.0 Scope of Work:
Headshots and Team Shots: The scope of work in 3.1.2 states that several setups will be utilized. Can you assist me in understanding better if individual headshots will be photographed against a backdrop or if they will be environmental? The majority of headshots will be with a backdrop, but we are not quite sure what that is yet. This building has very impressive features and characteristics. We can use some of the natural stone features of the building, water feature, etc. or we can use a gray cloth backdrop, that would be something the contractor can determine during the initial walkthrough of the facility. If they are against a backdrop can you provide the requirements for the background; color and material? No requirements. We currently use a gray mottled cloth backdrop. Will Team shots be photographed on a solid background or will they be environmental solely (see below 1b). I envision the team shots to be environmental only with the building or another feature in the background.
1b) Team Shots: A) photographed against backdrop or environmental, B) minimum and maximum number of people per team, C) number of teams? These details will assist in planning and budgeting for setup time, execution, lighting requirements and composition. I envision these to be environmental and mostly outdoors, using the building and it’s features as a backdrop. Number can range anywhere from 5- 20 team members.
3.0 Contractor Requirements:
3.1.5 All photos will be reviewed and approved by the NBAF Communications team and NBAF Security team.
Will this occur on set during or after each subject/session or at the end of each day? We will need photo location approved by our security team. After the location is determined, we can do our best to have photos reviewed at the end of the day. We can try to have a member of the security team present during the shoot which will help us get photo approval faster.
5.0 Image Delivery
What are the image delivery requirements; A) Size/Resolution, e.g. separate print and web prepared files? Hi-res 300dpi electronic files. No print involved. B) Delivery Method- Downloadable Gallery or Physical Media, e.g., USB or Harddrive, or both, My thought here would be downloadable gallery, but it would need to be secure. C) How long will the images need to be made available if stored in a secured location? A 60-day storage would give us more than enough time to retrieve the photos for download.
