About this file
This is a Site Visit Report documenting a pre-award inspection for the TBRD Water Leak Repair Project (Solicitation Number 127EAX26Q0087) under the Department of Agriculture Forest Service. The report captures observations and findings from an on-site evaluation of the Tonto National Forest's Tonto Basin Ranger District facility where water infrastructure repairs are planned.
The project scope includes repairing leaks in the forest's drinking water network, with primary objectives of eliminating known leaks and reducing future leak potential. Key deliverables include as-built drawings upon project completion. The work involves relocating 1- or 2-inch recreation hydrants from secondary pipes to main distribution lines, abandoning existing leaking secondary pipes in place, and installing one priority valve and two pressure reduction valves at COR-designated locations. One identified leak may require excavation under asphalt campground loop pavement, necessitating trench backfilling and new asphalt placement to restore the loop to original condition. The contractor must provide all personnel, equipment, tools, and materials required to complete the work in compliance with applicable codes and contract requirements. This site visit report supports the solicitation process by documenting existing conditions and project logistics prior to quote submission.
