About this file
This document provides details of a federal contract opportunity for the development of a material source site on the Coronado National Forest. The scope of work involves clearing, grubbing, topsoil stripping and stockpiling, rock blasting, excavating, crushing, and stockpiling aggregate at the Guajalote Flat Quarry to produce coarse aggregate for road surfacing. Interested vendors were required to respond to solicitation 127EAX23Q0036 by June 13, 2023 for consideration of a firm fixed-price contract. The contract is set aside for small businesses with less than 500 employees and Davis-Bacon wage rates apply. A pre-bid site visit was held on May 23, 2023 and questions were due by June 1, 2023. The technical evaluation panel would review submissions based on requirements in the solicitation. The award was anticipated to be made based on best value to the government considering both price and technical acceptability.
