About this file

This is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act issued by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment Standards Administration Wage and Hour Division. The document establishes prevailing wage rates for service employees performing work in Mississippi counties including Bolivar, Carroll, Coahoma, Grenada, Leflore, Montgomery, Panola, Quitman, Sunflower, Tallahatchie, Washington, and Yalobusha.

The wage determination (2015-5161, Revision 34, effective 8/22/2026) lists over 150 occupational classifications with corresponding hourly wage rates ranging from $9.67 to $51.25. Major occupational categories include administrative and clerical positions (rates $13.55–$20.83), automotive service ($12.88–$23.02), food preparation ($9.67–$14.34), health occupations ($13.20–$51.25), information technology ($17.50–$26.85), mechanics and maintenance ($18.30–$40.17), protective services ($13.67–$23.19), and technical occupations ($18.19–$44.60). The determination mandates fringe benefits of $5.92 per hour (up to 40 hours weekly or $236.80 per week) for all covered occupations, plus vacation accrual of two to four weeks based on service length, eleven paid holidays annually, and hazardous duty pay differentials of 4 or 8 percent where applicable. Computer professionals, air traffic controllers, weather observers, and certain instructional positions have specific exemptions or footnoted requirements. Uniform allowances are reimbursable at $1.35 per week if required by contract terms. Any unlisted occupational classifications require conformance procedures through the Department of Labor prior to contract performance.
