Solicitation 12639525Q0156 Questions and Answers
Q: What is the square footage of the USDA, AMS, Cotton & Tobacco Program, Corpus Christi Cotton Classing Facility?
A: The total square footage is 13,500 sq. ft.
Q: Question regarding the Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule. The solicitation states that PM tasks are to be performed per manufacturer recommendations and on a regular schedule by qualified personnel. However, it does not indicate whether a pre-established maintenance schedule already exists for the facility or if vendors are expected to propose their own schedule as part of their technical approach.
Could you please confirm whether the government intends to provide a fixed PM schedule or if it’s up to the contractor to propose one during submission?
A: USDA typically works with contractor on schedules times and dates of service following the maintenance check off list.
Q: Regarding the Roll/Row Filter - Are we replacing the material/filter or solely being asked to clean it? And if we are replacing it, will you all be supplying the material or are we being asked to?
A: USDA will purchase the roll filters. The contractor will install and maintain the filters.
Q: Are photos of the equipment or mechanical areas available for reference?
A: Photos are uploaded within Amendment PA01 as “Exhibits 3”.
Q: After reviewing the solicitation and Exhibit 1 – Facility Equipment Information, it appears that a detailed inventory of the HVAC equipment (such as the quantity of air handlers, fans, pumps, valves, coils, etc.) is not included.
To ensure we can develop a complete and accurate proposal, would it be possible to provide a full equipment inventory, or confirm if a more detailed list will be made available?
A: Exhibit 1 has been updated with additional information; this is the extent of equipment information that is available for the subject facility.
