The Q&A addresses several key inquiries from potential contractors, including confirmation that this is a new contract with no incumbent, the facility's square footage (approximately 83,600 sq ft), and clarification about maintenance requirements. Notably, the document indicates that HVAC maintenance is not a requirement and water treatment is being performed separately.

The Q&A provides transparency for potential bidders by addressing specific questions about the solicitation, such as equipment inventory availability (currently not available but may be posted later) and the scope of maintenance services. Contractors interested in this opportunity are advised that the site is located at 3275 Appling Rd in Memphis, TN, and while a site visit is scheduled for June 9, 2025, it is not mandatory for submitting a quotation.

Solicitation 12639525Q0124 Questions and Answers

Q: (Is) there (a) current or past incumbent for this project? Additionally, we would appreciate it if you could share the current contract value and total spend to date.

If available, the contract number would also be helpful for our reference.

A: There is not an incumbent contractor for this requirement; this will be a new contract for maintenance services at this location (Memphis, TN).

Q: Is an Equipment Inventory List Available?

A: Currently, USDA does not have an equipment inventory list available but will attempt to obtain one and post it to the solicitation attachments within SAM.gov if an Equipment Inventory List becomes available.

Q: What is the square footage of the facility?

A: Approximately 83,600 square feet total.

Q: Is it true that the Mechanical contractors (submitting quotations) will need to provide the water treatment program to support this RFQ? Or, is water treatment not required for this RFQ?

A: HVAC maintenance is not a requirement of this solicitation/requirement; water treatment is already being performed separately.

Q: If water treatment is required, will you be so kind in providing the Mechanical Contractors “contact names and e-mail/phone numbers” who will be bidding so we may participate in this bid?

A: Not applicable; see previous answer regarding water treatment.
