About this file

This is a Vendor Questions and Answers document for solicitation 12445526Q0005, addressing clarifications on electrical work requirements at two White Mountain National Forest locations in New Hampshire.

The document provides technical specifications for the Campton location transformer: 480-volt input, 240-volt output, three-phase system with unknown kVA rating. For the Saco location, the utility feed is underground service, and aluminum wiring is acceptable if compliant with the National Electric Code. The scope includes assessing and replacing damaged wiring in the warehouse at both sites. All circuits must be fully operational within 5 days from project start. The anticipated project start date is on or around March 2, 2026. Site visits are scheduled for Thursday, January 29, 2026, with Conway, NH inspection at 9:00 AM hosted by Michelle Hanson at 33 Kancamagus Highway, and Campton, NH inspection at 1:00 PM hosted by Leah Jackman at 71 White Mountain Drive. These site visits are available for vendors to inspect conduit and wiring runs before submitting final pricing.

Text version

1. Transformer Voltage & Phase (Campton Location) The current SOW does not list the voltage requirements. Please clarify:

0. What is the input voltage (the voltage coming in)?

480 Volts

0. What is the output voltage (the voltage the unit is stepping down to)?

240 Volts

0. Is the system Single-Phase or Three-Phase?

3 Phase

0. What is the required kVA rating for this 400A transformer?

Not Known

1. Distribution & Materials (Saco Location)

1. For the 400A CT cabinet upgrade, is the existing utility feed overhead or underground?

Underground Service

1. Are copper windings required for the transformer and wiring, or is aluminum an acceptable equivalent?

Aluminum is acceptable as long as all work adheres to the National Electric Code

1. Site Condition & Access

2. The SOW requires us to assess and replace "damaged wiring" in the warehouse. Since we cannot price "unknown" damage, is there a scheduled site visit so we can inspect the conduit and wiring runs before submitting our final price?

We are having a site visit for both locations on Thursday January 29.

The Conway, NH site visit will be at 9:00 AM at 33 Kancamagus Hwy, Conway, NH 03818. This site visit will be hosted by Michelle Hanson.

The Campton, NH site visit will be at 1:00 PM at 71 White Mountain Dr. Campton, NH 03223 and will be hosted by Leah Jackman.

1. Deadlines: How many days do we have to finish the work once we start?

All circuits must be fully operational within 5 days from the time that work begins.

1. Would you happen to have the new start date for this project so I can get it over to my subs?

We hope to start on or around March 2, 2026
