About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) document providing clarifications and responses to bidder questions regarding the White Mountain National Forest Saco RD Electrical Panel RFQ (Solicitation 12445526Q0005). The RFI addresses technical specifications and scope questions for electrical panel upgrades at two locations: Saco, NH and Campton, NH.

At the Saco location, the project involves replacement of both the current transformer cabinet and main service board (MSB), which currently contains one 150A main breaker, three 100A breakers, and thirty 20A breakers. A sub-panel with fifteen 20A breakers, one 100A breaker, one 30A breaker, and one 50A breaker also requires replacement. The existing Federal Pacific equipment does not comply with National Electric Code (NEC) or NFPA standards and must be replaced with NEC-compliant hardware. Existing wiring and conduit sizes reach maximum 4/0 and 4-inch conduit. All pricing for repairs to damaged wiring, breakers, or grounding discovered during assessment must be included in base quotes. At the Campton location, the project includes installation of a 400A step-down transformer; however, specification details regarding 240V output configuration and whether the 400A rating applies to input or output remain unknown and require vendor clarification. Permits for both locations must be obtained in accordance with local regulations. All damaged components and replacements are to be included in base pricing rather than handled as modifications.
