About this file

This document is Site Visit Notes for the GAOA Rexford Sewer & Water System Replacement federal contract opportunity (1240LU26Q0043). The solicitation involves replacement of sewer and water systems at a Forest Service recreation area, requiring contractors to manage clearing, spoil disposal, and merchantable timber storage during construction activities spanning the full performance period.

Key deadline dates are: questions due by April 8 and bids due by April 16. The project requires contractors to coordinate with the Forest Service regarding facility closures and access restrictions. Permanent closures during performance include all restrooms, the trail from upper campground loops to Kamloops overflow parking, and the beach area. Temporary closures permitted with advance notice include the boat ramp parking area (two rows closest to approach manhole), Kamloops overflow parking for storage and staging, and any roads with adequate lead time and signage. The main campground remains open during performance but may be temporarily closed with adequate lead time. Boat ramp, Kamloops, and main campground hosts remain in place but may be temporarily relocated with two weeks' notice to the Contracting Officer. The dump station closure depends on whether an option item is awarded; if awarded, it closes for construction; if not, it remains open but may be temporarily closed with adequate lead time. The contractor must manage clearing limits, spoil location, and merchantable timber storage at the Kamloops location, and should reference drawing note CU301 #4 regarding pipe under pedestrian bridge and General Construction Note #22 on sheet G003.
