Project‐ Rombo Campground Shoreline Stabilization

General Information

1.0 Description of Work

This project consists of the shoreline stabilization of the West Fork Bitterroot River near the Rombo

Campground. Work will include but is not limited to, erosion control measures, excavation, temporary river diversion, bio‐engineered stabilization, large woody structure assembly and all other work items necessary to complete the projects in accordance with the plans and specifications.

2.0 Project Location

To reach the project area from Darby, MT: Drive south on US 93 approximately 4.1 miles, Turn right on State

Hwy 473 (West Fork Road). Drive approximately 17.9 miles, turn right into the Rombo Campground and the project location is approximately 0.25 miles ahead.

3.0 Price Range

$25,000 to $100,000

4.0 Government Furnished

The Government will furnish Category 1 Wood, Category 2 Wood, Category 3 Wood and willow cuttings in the amounts required by the plans and specifications. These quantities are standing live trees and plants and will require the contractor to collect and transport to site. See the “Rombo Wood Locations” attachment for the locations of the material on Forest Service land. A Borrow Site and Waste Site are also to be furnished by the government.

5.0 Pre‐Bid Tour/Pre‐Bid Conference

A Pre‐Bid Tour will be scheduled.

6.0 Period of Performance

The Period of Performance for this project will be from September 20, 2024 to November 15, 2024

7.0 Specifications

“Technical Specifications” and “Special Provisions” are included in this solicitation and are physically included in each design package accordingly. The requirements contained in these specifications are hereby made a part of this solicitation and any resultant contract.

8.0 Drawings

The following drawings are a part of this solicitation and any resulting contract:

9.0 F‐2 – Commencement, Prosecution and Completion of Work ((FAR 52.212‐3) APR 1984) The Contractor shall be required to:

(a) Commence work under this contract within 10 calendar days after the Contractor receives the Notice to

Proceed.

(b) Prosecute the work diligently and complete the entire work ready for use not later than November 15, 2024.

The time state for completion shall include final cleanup of the premises.
