About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers document for the GAOA McCall Area Barracks Replacement project dated 10 August 2025. The document addresses 16 contractor inquiries regarding engineering requirements, project performance, accessibility standards, design submissions, and permit needs. Key details include: the project requires an Idaho-licensed engineer for prefabricated buildings and foundations, has a base bid contract time of 365 calendar days with potential option for an additional 365 days, and involves modular bunkhouses requiring a complete delegated design submission. The contractor is responsible for specific design elements including engineered calculations for building envelope, structure, foundations, fire protection, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems. Permit requirements are minimal, with only a city right-of-way, water permit, potential NPDES permit, and landfill disposal permit needed, along with state inspections for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
