About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers document for Solicitation 1240LP26Q0012 for Bessey RD Janitorial Services, issued by the Forest Service. The Q&A covers several key areas of clarification for potential bidders, including contract extension pricing, employee background check requirements, and site-specific details. Specific details include confirmation of an existing incumbent contract (1240LP21P0005), site characteristics such as approximately 35 windows, 27 blinds, 62 miscellaneous chairs, and metal bathroom stalls.
The document provides critical guidance on proposal submission, noting that sensitive employee personal information is not required until after contract award, and vendors should only submit resumes and work history. For the 6-month contract extension option, the Forest Service instructs bidders to price consistently with the last option year on a month-by-month basis. The agency declined to disclose specific funding limitations for the contract, directing interested parties to the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS) for additional contract value information.

Questions and Answers: 1240LP26Q0012 Bessey RD Janitorial Services
Question: Does the FS have a funding limitation for this contract? If so, what is it?
Answer: The Forest Service doesn’t share that information.
Question: The SOI requires a price to be filled in for 6-Month option but does not provide any direction as to how this needs to be priced. Are we supposed to price a theoretical Option Year 5 and divide in half? Do we include the 1 time annual and 1 of the 2 bi-annual services?
Answer: This 6 month pricing is a hypothetical situation where the government could possibly extend the contract for 6 months at the end of the term of the contract. Pricing should be consistent with the last option year. This would be a month by month extension up to 6 months.
Question: Proposal requirements state we are to provide "all employee information required for Government Background checks as required by HSPD-12". Please clarify what specific information is needed. Our understanding is this information is not required until after contract award.
