About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) for Solicitation 1240LP26Q0012 for Janitorial Services at Bessey Road, involving the U.S. Forest Service. Key details include clarification on contract pricing, specifically for a potential 6-month contract extension, which should be priced consistently with the last option year on a month-to-month basis. The Forest Service notes the incumbent contract number is 1240LP21P0005, and the building has approximately 35 windows.
The Q&A also addresses employee background check requirements, clarifying that sensitive personal information is not needed until after contract award. Offerors are advised to submit resumes and work history without providing personally identifiable information (PII). When asked about funding limitations, the Forest Service declined to disclose specific details. The solicitation appears to be for routine janitorial services with standard government contracting provisions around employee screening and contract extensions.

Questions and Answers: 1240LP26Q0012 Bessey RD Janitorial Services
Question: Does the FS have a funding limitation for this contract? If so, what is it?
Answer: The Forest Service doesn’t share that information.
Question: The SOI requires a price to be filled in for 6-Month option but does not provide any direction as to how this needs to be priced. Are we supposed to price a theoretical Option Year 5 and divide in half? Do we include the 1 time annual and 1 of the 2 bi-annual services?
Answer: This 6 month pricing is a hypothetical situation where the government could possibly extend the contract for 6 months at the end of the term of the contract. Pricing should be consistent with the last option year. This would be a month by month extension up to 6 months.
Question: Proposal requirements state we are to provide "all employee information required for Government Background checks as required by HSPD-12". Please clarify what specific information is needed. Our understanding is this information is not required until after contract award. We would rather not provide sensitive data (such as SSNs) of our employees without a contract in place.
Answer: This information is not required until after contract award. Please provide any information such as resumes, prior work history etc. DO NOT include any PII sensitive data with your quote.
Question: if there is an incumbent. If so, what are the contract number and contract value?
Answer: 1240LP21P0005 please refer to FPDS for contract values.
Question: Could you please advise on the number of windows in the building?
Answer: We have approximately 35 windows in the office.
