This document is an amendment to Solicitation 1240BJ24R0008 for the GAOA Thorne Bay Compound Water Quality Mitigation, Phase 1 project for the Tongass National Forest in Thorne Bay, Alaska.

The amendment updates the Statement of Work (SOW) in Section H.8 to provide additional details on the required work. Key changes include: replacing all copper potable water plumbing from the above ground supply line to various fixtures with PEX tubing; replacing bathroom, kitchen, and hose bib fixtures; installing under-sink filters and spin-down sediment filters; and testing the new plumbing system. The amendment also provides a detailed table listing the quantities of new fixtures to be installed across the duplexes, quads, and bunkhouse. No change is made to the original solicitation closing date. The overall project scope remains the replacement of the water fixtures and plumbing in the Forest Service-owned housing units on the Thorne Bay Ranger District, with an estimated construction magnitude of $250,000 to $500,000.
