More Answered Questions (sixth group) from Vendors – 12/8/2022

1. It is a single price for the 4 years and if there is any change, it is requested by letter 60 days before payment. This is correct?

And the price that is presented must contemplate the 4 years of supply of the same product to the same locality.

Vendors must submit pricing for each of the five years (the base year and the four option years). Pricing shall be constant for one-year periods. Vendors may choose to submit different prices for each of the five years, as they see fit.

Clause 52.216-4 (Economic Price Adjustment-Labor and Material) specifies that if the cost of materials for the vendor changes, the vendor will notify the Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist (Thomas Nasvytis) within 60 days of the cost change.

The price (or prices) submitted assume that the vendor will supply FSIS/USDA with the required materials for a period of five years, as long as the Government decides to continue performance of the contract before each option year. The prices submitted at this time in the vendors’ quotations will be fixed for five years, unless an economic price adjustment is requested by the vendor in the future.
