About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) from the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest for an Integrated Resource Service Contract (IRSC) called the "End of the World Stewardship G-Z IRSC" for forest management and timber removal. The draft solicitation covers five contract areas (Jungle Bird, Wooly Bully, Ski Bird, Cold Fir, and Free Bird) with estimated timber removal quantities ranging from approximately 9,974 to 198,128 tons using tractor and skyline/tether logging methods. The contract will involve mandatory and optional work activities including timber cutting and removal, road reconstruction and maintenance, fuels work, erosion control, and reforestation, with a total contract period from award through 10/15/2036.

The government contemplates a firm-fixed price contract with economic adjustments, using NAICS code 115310 for Fuels Management Services with a $34 million size standard. The RFI is for informational purposes only, and no proposals will be accepted at this stage. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and will be evaluated on their ability to perform forest restoration treatments to mitigate catastrophic wildfire risks. A second site visit is scheduled for 10/30/25 to meet with project management staff, view the project area, and discuss contract objectives. The contract areas are located approximately 8 air miles south of Grangeville, Idaho.
