About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunity 1232SA26Q0887. The document addresses two inquiries regarding project execution and material specifications.

The first question clarifies that engineered cove base is acceptable as an alternative to troweled cove base. The second question addresses scheduling flexibility for rooms 247A and 247B within the two-phase work structure described in the Statement of Work. The response indicates that the inclusion of these rooms in the phasing schedule is negotiable and should be determined based on what is best for the project. Additionally, the side rooms can be completed at any point during the project schedule and are not required to be phase-completed, providing the contractor with scheduling flexibility to accommodate equipment movement in the laboratory.

1232SA26Q0887 Questions and Answers

1. Must the Cove Base be troweled, or would an engineered Cove Base be acceptable?

Engineered cove base is acceptable.

2. The SOW says that the work will be done in two phases so that the equipment in the lab can be moved from one side to the other. Does that include doing rooms 247A and 247B in those two phases, or would they have to be done separately?

The 247A and 247B parts included in the phasing are negotiable, whatever is best for the project. The side rooms can be done at any point, they do not need to be phase completed.
