About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document (Amendment 0002) for federal contract 1232SA26Q0514 addressing contractor inquiries regarding a tank repair and maintenance project.
The project involves a 1979-built tank that was externally repaired around 2010 with paint removed to bare metal; interior lead content is unknown. The tank can be drained for a maximum of seven calendar days. No third-party inspector will be used, and there are no liquidated damages associated with the project. Weekend work is permissible depending on staff availability. Contractors must log in and out daily; no additional background or security checks are required. Equipment staging is available immediately behind the tank, on pavement next to the bug hut/headhouse area, and possibly on a gravel pad near the Quonset Hut. Water access for project performance is available at no charge from any hose bibb or fire hydrant outside the building, with the hose bibb near the maintenance shop being the closest option. The tank contains no antennas. Notice to proceed and work commencement are anticipated within two months of submittal approval and cost estimation. The SF 24 Bid Form should be obtained from the contractor's bonding company. Warranty period is governed by applicable contract clauses, and bidders should reference those clauses for specific terms.
