About this file

This document contains details for an integrated resource timber contract opportunity located on the Colville National Forest in Washington State. The contract is soliciting proposals due by July 8, 2019 to remove an estimated 104,245 tons of Douglas-fir and other coniferous species sawtimber along with 24,063 tons of green biomass from designated areas. In addition, offerors may agree to remove an unestimated volume of miscellaneous forest products green biomass at a fixed rate. The contract includes four mandatory and six optional restoration service projects to be completed by the contractor. The contract will be awarded based on a best value determination to the bidder with the most technically acceptable and advantageous technical/price relationship.

This solicitation will result in multiple blanket purchase agreements for stewardship projects to be issued over approximately fifteen years by the USDA Forest Service Region 6 Pacific Northwest Region. The intent is to reduce wildfire risk by removing excess forest fuel loading across thousands of acres of the Colville National Forest. Work may include tasks such as unit layout, cruising, marking, road and trail maintenance, habitat improvement, prescribed fire support, vegetation removal, and noxious weed control. The agreements permit the trading of goods and services to complete needed restoration work at affordable costs for the government. Estimated project values will be determined by individual call orders issued under the blanket agreements.
