PAST OBLITERAnON WORK

"After" picture of same road as shown at left. Cut and fill slope material has been placed on the scarified roadbed and live vegetation material has been machine placed across the roadway to promote re-vegation. If ordered by the Contacting Officer, all disturbed surfaces will be seeded with appropriate grass seed. Some roads may require that a 3-5 foot passage way be provided that is not blocked by debris or large woody material. This passage way is to allow animal and human foot traffic. A tread is not required in this passage way.

"After" picture of same road as shown at left. Roadbed has been scarified to a minimum depth 12 inches and a maximum depth of 24 inches. Vegetation material has been machine placed to promote re-vegetation. If ordered by the Contracting Officer, all disturbed surfaces will be seeded with the appropriate seed mix. Note that if this was a designated snowmobile trail the scarification depth would also be 12 to 24 inches deep but no large woody debris, or other large obstacles would be placed on the road surface that would create hazards for snowmobiles.
