This document contains responses to requests for clarification on amendment 3 for solicitation number 1116528 from the Department of Agriculture Forest Service. The responses clarify that additional floor joists are not required for repairs to an existing viewing deck, and that the schedule of items has been amended to remove item 13.C for PT floor joists. Parking lot striping has been added as item 4.H for the Cloudland parking area. To avoid duplication, catch basin #2 has been removed from item 5.J in the Gardens parking lot improvements section.

Ref: 12445224R0005, Amendment No. 3, Attachment 1 Subject : RFI/ Response

1. RFI: Amendment 1 had a plan correction of "Disregard the note on Page 19 – EXISTING VIEWING DECK LAYOUT & DEMOLITION PLAN which states “Install matching floor joists between existing floor joists.” No additional floor joists will be required for the repairs to this viewing deck." However, the revised schedule of items from Amendment 2 still has item 13.C PT Floor Joists, matching existing. For clarification, you are not requiring Additional joists, but you are requiring the existing joists to be removed/replaced?

RESPONSE: The existing joists do not need to be replaced, nor are additional required. The SOI has been amended to remove Item 13.C.

1. There is no pay item for pavement markings in the "Cloudland Parking Lot Pavement Overlay" section. Are pavement markings incidental or not required for Cloudland Parking Area?

RESPONSE: Parking Lot Striping has been added to the SOI as item 4.H.

1. Within the "Gardens Parking Lot Improvements" items, Item 5.J Catch Basins #1, #2, and #3. But Catch Basin #2 is listed again in Item 6.D Catch Basin #2. Please clarify if we should bid catch basin #2 in both line items or eliminate one.

RESPONSE: Duplication was not intended. Catch Basin #2 removed from Item 5.J.
