About this file

This document is a detailed work write-up for a residential property improvement project issued by the City of Jackson Community Development Department in Michigan. The project involves replacing the furnace and water heater at 1104 Chittock Ave in Jackson, Michigan, with specific requirements for a 95% efficient forced air gas furnace and a 40-gallon high-efficiency water heater. The work write-up specifies detailed installation standards, including compliance with Michigan Mechanical Code, proper ductwork placement, and adherence to heating and ventilation standards for all habitable rooms.

The project appears to be funded through the City of Jackson's Community Development Department, with competitive bidding sought for the replacement of these home systems. Permits are required for both the furnace and water heater installations, and the contractor must follow specific guidelines for placement, insulation, and code compliance. The work write-up includes spaces for the property owner, contractor, and a construction specialist to review and sign off on the proposed scope of work, indicating a structured approach to municipal home improvement assistance that likely supports low-income or qualifying homeowners with essential home system upgrades.
