About this file

This work write-up is a scope of work document prepared by the City of Jackson Community Development Department in Michigan for roof and gutterwork repairs at 1017 Second Court, Jackson, MI 49203, for property owner Jonathan Allaband. The project encompasses three primary work items: roof stripping and installation on a garage structure (approximately 4 squares), roof stripping and installation on the main home structure (approximately 20 squares), and gutterwork installation. The roof work includes removal of existing shingles and felt, repairs to roof framing as needed, installation of 7/16" oriented-strand board sheathing, ice shield protection extending 24" per Michigan Building Code requirements, 15% asphalt saturated felt, new architectural-style shingles, metal drip and rake edges, valley flashing, chimney and plumbing vent reflashing, and ridge venting. The gutterwork specification calls for approximately 100 linear feet of baked pre-enameled aluminum K-type gutter and approximately 80 linear feet of commercial-size downspouts. Both roof items are marked as requiring permits. The document was prepared by sharrison@cityofjackson.org on August 12, 2026, and requires contractor and owner signatures upon execution as part of a construction contract.

The work write-up establishes that contractors must provide final measurements and select roofing material colors and manufacturers to be approved by the owner. Gutter installations must maintain proper pitch and include appropriate water diversion measures away from the foundation. All work must comply with manufacturer specifications and applicable building codes. The document indicates that projects are awarded to qualified, lowest-bid contractors who maintain Sam.gov registration, proper licensing, and obtain required permits. No pricing information, timeline for bid submission, award dates, or contract term duration is specified in this scope of work document.
