About this file

This is a Minimum Insurance Requirements document for Broward County's Water and Wastewater Services Department pertaining to an open-end contract for the purchase and delivery of new well column pipes. The contract is open to vendors serving Broward County and potentially other county agencies with similar needs. The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of new (not used or refurbished) well column pipes in accordance with specified requirements. Broward County has established a Questions and Answers period through the BPRO electronic submission system to allow vendors to seek clarification on solicitation requirements. All vendor responses must be submitted electronically through BPRO by the specified closing date and time, with the County emphasizing that vendors are encouraged to submit all documentation, including optional items, to facilitate comprehensive and timely review.

The insurance requirements mandate that vendors maintain General Liability coverage with minimum limits of $500,000 per occurrence and $500,000 aggregate, including contractual liability and broad form property damage. Auto Liability coverage of $500,000 combined bodily injury and property damage is required if applicable to project performance. Workers' Compensation coverage at statutory limits and Employers' Liability coverage with $100,000 per accident minimum are required. Broward County must be named as an additional insured, provided with 30 days' written notice of cancellation (10 days for non-payment), and be afforded primary coverage with no contribution requirements from the County. For claims-made policies, insurance evidence must be maintained for three years after contract completion. The contract includes procurement preferences for Small Business Enterprises (SBE) and County Business Enterprises (CBE), though no specific set-aside percentages or pricing terms are detailed in this insurance requirements document.
