About this file

This is an Electronic Signature Implementation Agreement established by the County of Bergen, New Jersey, authorizing the use of electronic signatures for conducting official business in accordance with the E-Sign Act (enacted June 30, 2000) and New Jersey's Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA, P.L. 2001, c. 116). The agreement permits authorized individuals representing vendors to execute electronic signatures on bid submissions, requests for proposals, requests for quotations, and other official documents required by participating local units. The electronic signature becomes valid upon execution and remains effective for a one-year term from the date of execution. The document requires the authorized individual to provide their name, title, phone number, email address, and signature, along with the vendor's name, thereby creating an affirmative record that establishes the signatory's authority to conduct business on the vendor's behalf.

This agreement applies to the related contract opportunity for Helicopter Rental Services for Aerial Application of Larvicides for Mosquito Control (BC-BID-25-54), a 24-month contract commencing upon date of award in New Jersey. The electronic signature authorization streamlines the bidding process by eliminating the requirement for wet signatures on bid submissions and related documentation, contingent upon the participating local unit's acceptance of electronic submissions and absent any explicit request for alternative signature methods on unique documents or forms specific to the procurement.
