About this file

This document is a Bonfire E-Signature Agreement from the County of Bergen, New Jersey, designed to establish an electronic signature protocol for vendors participating in county procurement processes. The agreement leverages the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-Sign Act) and New Jersey's Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA) to authorize state and local government agencies to conduct official business electronically. The County of Bergen has partnered with Bonfire, an e-procurement solution, to modernize procurement processes and enable vendors to create a single vendor profile usable across all local units in Bergen County.

The agreement provides a standardized mechanism for vendors to submit electronic signatures valid for one year, which can be used to submit bids, requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotes (RFQs), and other offers to participating local units. Vendors must complete the form by providing their name, representing organization, title, contact information, and an authorized signature. The document emphasizes the legal validity of electronic signatures and the intent to streamline and modernize procurement processes by creating a consistent, county-wide electronic submission framework that reduces administrative barriers for vendors seeking to do business with local government entities.
