About this file
Summary of Soldan High School Roof and Tuckpointing Project Scope of Work
This is a comprehensive scope of work document for the Saint Louis Public Schools (SLPS) Soldan High School roof replacement and tuckpointing project located in Missouri. The project encompasses multiple roofing system types across different sections of the building, including clay tile replacement, modified bituminous membrane roofing, PVC/TPA single-ply membrane roofing, and EPDM membrane roofing systems. Additional work includes copper roof accessories, chimney shroud installation and repair, standing seam copper roofing, copper dome and cupola restoration, extensive tuckpointing and masonry repairs on nine chimneys, and limestone column replacement at building entrances. The contractor must provide all labor, transportation, materials, apparatus, tools, and permits necessary for removal and replacement of existing roofing systems. The scope requires contractors to verify roof construction and square footage based on provided roof plan drawings showing specific area locations designated as sections A through R, with varying materials and installation methods specified for each area.
The project specifies multiple roofing system manufacturers including Tremco CPG Inc., Soprema, Garland, Siplast, Elevate, and Carlisle Mulehide as acceptable providers. All roofing installations must comply with ASTM standards, NRCA guidelines, SMACNA standards, and local building codes with UL Class A fire ratings. Contractors must meet specific installer qualifications, including a minimum of five years' experience with comparable roofing systems and full-time on-site supervision. The warranty requirements include 20-year manufacturer warranties on roofing systems and 2-3 year workmanship warranties from the installer. Pre-installation conferences are mandatory to review methods, procedures, construction schedules, and warranty requirements. All materials must be delivered in original containers and stored according to manufacturer specifications. Field quality control includes final inspection by the roofing manufacturer's technical representative, with contractor responsibility for correcting all deficiencies identified during inspection before warranty issuance.
