About this file

This document is a Certification of a Drug-Free Workplace form based on Section 287.087 of the Florida Statutes, applicable to state and political subdivision procurement processes. The form outlines specific requirements for businesses to establish and maintain a drug-free workplace program, which can provide a preference in the bid award process when proposals are otherwise equal in price, quality, and service.

The document details six key requirements for businesses, including publishing a statement prohibiting controlled substance activities in the workplace, informing employees about drug abuse dangers and consequences, providing employees with the written policy, requiring notification of drug-related convictions, imposing sanctions on convicted employees, and making a good faith effort to maintain a drug-free workplace. The form requires an authorized representative's signature certifying compliance with these requirements, with an acknowledgment that false statements are punishable by law.

6) Make a good faith effort to continue to maintain a drug-free workplace through implementation of this section.
