About this file

This is a Signed Guidelines for Proposer document issued by the Cherokee County School District (CCSD) Procurement Services Department in Georgia, establishing conduct standards for non-employees with limited access to students. The document outlines requirements for vendors and contractors operating within CCSD facilities, specifying that non-employee contact with students is restricted to activities authorized by school administration. Non-employees are permitted in designated areas only as necessary to conduct their specific responsibilities and must operate during regular school hours or prearranged times with school administration. The guidelines prohibit non-employees from soliciting student participation or assistance in performing their duties, restrict access to areas where children are present without an employee escort, and require proper conduct in both actions and speech while on school premises.

The guidelines further establish that smoking and offensive or inappropriate language are prohibited for all non-employees on school premises. This document was last updated on August 23 and requires signature from company representatives and proposers bidding on CCSD opportunities. The guidelines are directly applicable to the School Nutrition Serving Lines project, which represents a one-time capital improvement initiative to replace serving lines and refresh cafeteria facilities at three elementary schools: RM Moore Elementary School, Sixes Elementary School, and Holly Springs Elementary School. Awards may be made to multiple proposers at the district's discretion.

Signed Guidelines for Proposer/Non-Employee with Limited Access to Students

• Non‐employees are only to be in the building in designated areas necessary to conduct their specific responsibilities.

• Non‐employees should not react to student actions/behavior other than to report these actions to the administration.

• Non‐employees, while on school premises, are expected to conduct themselves properly in both actions and speech.

• Non‐employees are authorized to be on school premises only during regular school hours or during times pre‐arranged with the school administration.

• Non‐employees who conduct business within a school must do so without soliciting students to participate or aid them in performing their responsibilities.

• Non‐school employees may not access areas of a school building during the school day where children are permitted without an employee escort.

• Smoking and the use of offensive or inappropriate language is not permitted.
