About this file
This is a Bid Bond Requirements document for the State of Washington Department of Parks and Recreation's Sucia Island Marine State Park Floating Pumpout Station Pile Installation project (NW-BC043). The project encompasses the procurement and installation of two galvanized steel piles for the pumpout station, installation of an owner-furnished floating pumpout barge, marine mammal and marbled murrelet monitoring, construction surveying, and protected species monitoring suspension. Bidders must submit all bid responses electronically through the MRSC Bonfire Procurement Portal at https://mrscrosters.bonfirehub.com/portal. The bidders are required to allow for a 60-day acceptance period from the bid opening date.
Bid bond requirements are contingent upon the total bid amount, including all additive alternates. No bid bond is required if the total bid amount is $35,000 or less; however, for bids exceeding $35,000, a mandatory bid bond of 5% of the total bid amount must be submitted as part of the bid response. Acceptable bid guarantees must be submitted as a single PDF file with the electronic bid submission. Bid bonds for the three lowest bidders will be retained for 30 days or until contract execution with the successful bidder, while all other bid bonds will be released within 15 days of bid opening. If the successful bidder fails to execute the contract or provide a performance bond within 15 days of receiving contract forms, the bid bond may be forfeited as liquidated damages. Failure to provide a required bid bond will render the bid non-responsive. For questions or clarification, bidders should contact contracts@parks.wa.gov.
