About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details a comprehensive repair project for a Vehicle Maintenance (VM) Warehouse located on Nevatim Air Base in Israel. The project requires repairing a detached roof section, replacing fifty-six windows with High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and aluminum frames, replacing four overhead doors with electrically operated systems, investigating electrical panel circuit breaker issues, and upgrading the warehouse lighting to LED fixtures with specific illuminance requirements. The contract mandates precise technical specifications, including wind load tolerances, electrical operator standards, and safety compliance with Israeli and host nation regulations.

The project is solicited by the Department of the Air Force Space Command, with key dates including a site visit on 16 July 2025, questions deadline of 20 July 2025, and RFI answers to be posted by 22 July 2025. Contractors must provide their own equipment, base escorts, translators, and coordinate access through specific points of contact. The work must be completed following strict safety protocols, with prohibited items clearly outlined, and contractors are responsible for obtaining necessary permits, completing inspections, and securing a final certificate of occupancy. Payment will be based on task completion and government approval of submitted documentation.

Fabricate mullions and transom bars in such a manner as to permit expansion and contraction between adjoining construction and window units and to form a weather-tight joint.

2.2.4. If combination windows used, provide factory assembled combination windows of the same grade and performance class. Where factory assembly of individual windows into larger units is limited by transportation considerations, refabricate, match mark, transport, and field assemble.

2.2.5. Provide mechanically fixed and sealed or welded corners on PVC frames and sashes. Reinforce frames and sash as necessary to meet the requirements for the wind pressure load.

2.2.6. Install in accordance with the window manufacturer's printed instructions and details. Build in windows as work progresses or install without forcing into prepared window openings. Set windows at proper elevation, location, and reveal; plumb, square, level, and in alignment; and brace, strut, and stay properly to prevent distortion and misalignment.
