About this file

This is a Bid Bond Form template for state and local construction projects in Pennsylvania, specifically applicable to Nether Providence Township's infrastructure improvement initiatives. The bond form establishes the financial security requirements for bidders submitting proposals for multiple projects, including the Houston Park - Beatty Run Bridge Improvements (bids due September 23, 2025, with public opening September 25, 2025), CDBG Hepford Park Improvements (bids due May 27, 2026, with public opening May 28, 2026), and Houston Park Trail Improvements involving 2,465 linear feet of trail construction (bids due June 10, 2026, with public opening June 11, 2026). Each project requires bidders to submit bids online via the PennBid Program and involves restoration and improvement work to township parks and infrastructure. Contract performance periods are specified as 90 consecutive calendar days from Notice to Proceed for the bridge project, with liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day for delays beyond the completion date.

The bid bond form requires security in the amount of 10 percent of the total bid amount, made payable to Nether Providence Township. Successful bidders must provide performance bonds and payment bonds for 100 percent of the contract price, along with one-year maintenance bonds for 10 percent of the contract price. All projects require compliance with Pennsylvania prevailing wage rates, Public Works Employment Verification Act requirements, and federal provisions including equal opportunity and non-discrimination regulations. The successful bidder must also pay the PennBid Program a fee of one-third of one percent of the contract award value, with a minimum fee of $150 and maximum of $6,000. Projects are funded through Nether Providence Township, and bidders must demonstrate financial stability, relevant experience, and capability to perform the required work, including submission of financial statements and subcontractor declarations.
