About this file
This document is a Darfur Contracting Act Certification form issued by the State of California's Department of General Services (DGS) for Solicitation Number 24WS0037. The form requires companies that have conducted business activities outside the United States within the previous three years to certify their status as either a non-scrutinized company or a scrutinized company that has obtained written permission from DGS to submit a proposal.
The certification form provides two options for compliance: Option #1 allows companies to certify under penalty of perjury that they are not a scrutinized company, while Option #2 is for scrutinized companies that have received explicit written permission from DGS to bid on state contracts. Companies with no international business activities in the past three years are not required to complete the form. The document underscores California's regulatory approach to ensuring ethical contracting practices for businesses with potential connections to regions of international concern, specifically referencing Public Contract Code Sections 10475-10481.
