About this file
This is a Davis-Bacon Act Wage Determination (TX20240243, Modification #5) dated December 13, 2024 for building construction projects in Denton County, Texas. The wage determination provides prevailing wage rates that must be paid to various construction trades and laborers working on federal building projects, excluding single family homes and apartments up to 4 stories.
The document establishes minimum wage requirements including $17.20 per hour under Executive Order 14026 for contracts entered/renewed after January 30, 2022, or $12.90 per hour for earlier contracts. It lists specific wage rates for numerous trades including asbestos workers ($31.32/hr), boilermakers ($37.00/hr), elevator mechanics ($49.71/hr), and various other construction roles. The determination includes provisions for paid sick leave (1 hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 56 hours annually) for contracts awarded after January 1, 2020. This is the fifth modification to this wage determination in 2024, with previous modifications issued on November 22, July 5, June 14, and April 5, 2024.
