About this file
This file contains Responses to Questions for a Sources Sought Notice issued by FEMA Region VI for replacing an Electrical Panel Motor Center. The notice is for market research to identify qualified contractors to demolish and replace the existing motor control center at the Federal Regional Center in Denton, Texas, with a modernized system capable of supporting 6,000 MMBTU power output. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for April 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM CST, with interested contractors required to submit a completed facilities access form by April 24, 2025, at 12:00 PM CST.
The responses clarify that the project involves completely replacing the motor control center, with the critical requirement that all component removal and installation must be completed on a weekend schedule to minimize disruption to building operations. Contractors must submit their responses to Contract Specialist Barbara Gonzalez and the Region 6 Procurement Branch by May 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM CST. The sources sought notice is purely for market research purposes to determine contractor availability and capabilities for this electrical infrastructure replacement project.

Sources Sought Notice Number: 05052025 Sources Sought Notice: FEMA Region VI - Replace Electrical Panel Motor Center Responses to Questions
1. Question: Are we replacing the distribution panel instead of the motor control center, or are we reducing the size of it?
Answer: The customer is seeking for a contractor to provide services to replace the motor control center. The Federal Regional Center needs a fully operable motor control center.
Please note: The only changes that were made to SOO was that any component removal and installation must be completed on the weekend schedule. The reason behind this is since the removal and installation process will take the central plant offline, and we will be without cooling in the building.
