Media Monitoring and Contract Management – Responses to Offeror Questions

Q# Offeror Question Library Answer

1 Are you seeking a firm to do the media intelligence work for you, or will you do it in-house with CM or a similar platform?

In-house work with the CM platform.

2 In terms of broadcast sources, will the

Library require access to global television, radio, and/or podcasts?

Yes. The Library seeks capability to monitor news coverage outside the U.S. (If this is a separate cost, please let us know. We do not currently have capability to monitor news outside the U.S.)

3 Does the Library require full access to

Reddit firehose?

Access not required.

4 Does the Library require access to Asian

Social Media like Weibo, WeChat, etc?

Access not required.

5 Will the Library require any existing media lists to be uploaded in the new tool selected?

Yes. The Library requires the ability to upload its existing media lists to a new tool.

6 Will the Library require support staff to create searches and dashboards on behalf of its users?

The Library requires at least 3 days of training and

24/7 technical support for all staff users. See

Solicitation Section C.4.12 and C.4.13.

7 Could the Library please confirm that the “five years prior” requirement for retrospective content ability is in regards to editorial content as opposed to social content? As an industry standard, social content is typically available for 15 months unless archived and ultimately dependent on the social channel.

To confirm, the Library’s requirement of news media monitoring that offers a retrospective search tool for at least 5 years prior pertains to editorial content via print and online news services and magazines, blogs and social media sites, both inside and outside the

USA. See SOW Solicitation Section C.3.2.

8 Has the Library identified any gaps in service or room for improvement with the current solution?

No gaps in service or room for improvement with current system have been identified.

9 What is Library’s budget or current spending on this tool?

The Library is not sharing information about the budget at this time.
