About this file

This is a Performance Bond document related to Mt. San Antonio College's Custom Furniture (FF&E) procurement for the Technology & Health Building in California. The performance bond serves as a financial guarantee that the selected furniture contractor will fulfill their contractual obligations for supplying and delivering custom furniture and furnishings (FF&E) to the new 273,000-square-foot Technology and Health Building. The project involves furnishing a transformative four-story facility designed to consolidate 10 departments and 26 academic programs currently spread across six separate locations, creating a cohesive learning environment that emphasizes flexibility, collaboration, and industry-standard aesthetics. The furniture specifications require selections that align with leading global company standards, incorporate diverse seating styles and workstations, support dynamic educational environments, and balance durability with user comfort and accessibility.

The performance bond document establishes the financial security mechanisms required of the awarded contractor to ensure completion of furniture delivery and installation in accordance with project specifications and timelines. This bond protects Mt. San Antonio College by guaranteeing contractor performance and providing recourse should the contractor fail to meet contractual obligations. The specific bond amount, contractor details, and performance requirements would be tied to the final contract award amount and schedule. As a foundational contracting document, the performance bond reflects the college's commitment to securing a qualified vendor capable of delivering high-quality, durable furnishings that support the institution's vision for an innovative learning environment within budget and on schedule.
