About this file

This document is a Performance Bond template for Mt. San Antonio College, designed to be used for a contract opportunity involving a comprehensive project. The performance bond is structured as a 100% contract price bond, which provides financial protection for the college by ensuring the contractor will complete all required work and pay any damages resulting from failure to perform. The document outlines the obligations of the Principal (contractor) and Surety, including performing all work required to complete the project and protecting the Owner from potential losses due to defective materials or faulty workmanship.

The bond includes provisions that extend the Surety's obligations for the duration of the contract's warranty and guarantee period, with specific language ensuring continued protection for the college even after initial project completion. The document requires the Surety to be an admitted insurer authorized by the California Department of Insurance, and mandates that the bidder attach a Notarial Acknowledgment, Power of Attorney, and Certificate of Authority. While the specific project details are not filled in on this template, it is designed to be a standard legal instrument that provides financial security for the college's contractual agreements.
