About this file
This is a Request for Bid (RFB) document issued by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) for on-call Region 2 paving work. The project, titled "I5 Intermittent Inlay Paving MP199.31-203.55," involves 2-inch inlay paving on Interstate 5 in both northbound and southbound directions around the Coburg exit (milepoint 199) in Lane County, Oregon. The scope of work includes cold plane pavement removal (51,462 square yards), dense asphalt concrete pavement placement (5,790 tons), thermoplastic line striping (41,461 feet), and recessed white Type IAR markers (783 units), along with mobilization, temporary traffic control, and pollution control planning. Work is restricted to night hours between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM, with a minimum 14-day mobility notice required for ramp closures. The project has a required completion date of September 30, 2026, with a bid submission deadline of June 4, 2026, at 2:00 PM. ODOT Project Manager Cody Stone (503-953-6334) oversees the project.
This RFB is limited to holders of the On-Call Region 2 Paving Price Agreement, meaning only pre-qualified contractors may bid. The project requires compliance with Oregon's domestic preference requirements under ORS 279C.303 and State Buy America Provisions. All work must be performed at prevailing wage rates as established by Oregon's Department of Business and Consumer Services (effective January 5, 2026, as amended April 5, 2026). Bidders must submit completed bid forms via OregonBuys with unit prices and total pricing for all line items. Portable changeable message signs must be placed at least seven days in advance of any ramp or lane closures. A regulated speed reduction of 55 miles per hour has been implemented for the project, with coordination ongoing for Oregon State Police presence on site.
