State examples
A State profile is the state or territory record that organizes related state and local market context. In GovTribe, state pages can show a summary, contacts, state and local contract opportunities, government files, and jurisdictions. See the State profile example in GovTribe.
Summary
The Overview tab can show source-backed profile content such as Website and Twitter tabs when GovTribe has public profile context for the selected state.
For the underlying geography record, see State data type. For state values on other records, see State attribute, USPS Code, and FIPS Code.
Popular related records
The Overview tab can show popular state and local contract opportunities connected to the selected state. Use these cards when you want to start with geography and then move into current or representative state and local market activity.
Missing profile context
State profiles can be compact. Some states or territories may have limited summary, contact, file, or related opportunity context depending on the data GovTribe can connect to that geography.

Details
Details opens enhanced profile context when GovTribe has it for the selected state. The tab can be unavailable when no enhanced profile data is present.
Contacts
Contacts shows people or office contacts GovTribe has associated with the selected state. The tab can be empty when the state has no contact references, when source material did not provide contact details, or when your account does not have access to the relevant contact context.
For contact search and contact data, see Contacts and Contact data type.

For opportunity research, see State and local contract opportunities and State and local contract opportunity data type.
Government Files
Government Files shows government-provided files connected to the selected state. It can be empty when GovTribe has no displayable file context for that state.
For file context, see Government file data type.
Jurisdictions
Jurisdictions shows jurisdiction records connected to the selected state. Use it when you need counties, cities, school districts, authorities, or other public-sector organizations inside the state.
For jurisdiction research, see Jurisdictions and Jurisdiction data type.
Common questions
For general fixes for too many results, no results, unrelated results, broad Semantic Search matches, or filters that narrowed the search too much, see Troubleshoot search results.
What is a State record in GovTribe?
State data type records are geography reference records for U.S. states and territories. Use a state record when the state or territory itself is the organizing context for related jurisdictions, vendors, opportunities, awards, files, or reports.
How do state records connect to market research?
State records help organize geography around related jurisdictions, awards, opportunities, vendors, and other public-sector market activity. Open the state record when you need state-level context beyond the search result card.
