UNSPSC 82121502: Typesetting

UNSPSC 82121502 Typesetting, a Commodity code, covers printing services procurement by state and local education institutions, with recent activity focused on establishing multi-vendor contracts for comprehensive departmental printing solutions. State and local buyers under this code are primarily higher-education institutions seeking to consolidate printing capacity across multiple departments while maintaining flexibility to respond to diverse, fluctuating demand. The work being solicited includes high-quality printing output with responsive turnaround, consistent quality standards, and customer support; institutions increasingly expect vendors to bundle value-added services such as dedicated account management, digital ordering platforms, sustainability initiatives, and volume or expedited-service pricing structures.

Florida Atlantic University (FAU) in Palm Beach County, Florida posted an Invitation to Negotiate (ITN15873) on May 6, 2026, with a proposal due date of June 5, 2026, to establish multiple five-year printing-services contracts with an optional three-year renewal. FAU's solicitation explicitly encourages vendors to propose cost-saving innovations, discount structures, and digital ordering capabilities alongside core printing delivery. The opportunity is open to all qualified vendors with no stated set-aside or disadvantaged-enterprise requirements, and the university intends to award multiple contracts rather than a single vendor. The award value and budget range are not disclosed in the available documentation.
