UNSPSC 73151603: Packaging of non food products services

UNSPSC 73151603 Packaging of non food products services is a Commodity code with minimal recent state and local solicitation activity aligned to its nominal scope. The recent opportunities tagged under this code span irrigation system installation, election equipment transportation, charter bus services, tourism collateral fulfillment, and transportation planning consulting — none of which constitute packaging services for non-food products. The code shows a mismatch between its taxonomy name and the work state and local governments are actually buying under it in the market today.

Given the misalignment between the code's nominal scope and the actual solicitations posted, this Commodity code does not represent a viable pursuit category for packaging-services vendors at this time. The recent opportunities in the source — including the City of DeBary, Florida irrigation project (IFB, due April 10, 2015), the City of Detroit Department of Elections equipment transportation RFQ (due October 1, 2026), Bibb County Schools charter bus services bid (due September 15, 2026), Visit St. Pete-Clearwater fulfillment services ITQ (due July 30, 2026), and Columbus Consolidated Government trails and sidewalks consulting RFP (due May 22, 2026) — indicate that the code is being applied inconsistently across jurisdictions to procurements with no relationship to packaging operations. Vendors should verify code assignment and actual scope with the issuing body before pursuing any opportunity tagged to this category.
